Stephen Voller C.Eng

Stephen Voller C.Eng. is a recognised authority on hydrogen. He is the author of 100+ patents and inventor of Carbon-Ion that uses nanomaterials such as graphene with ionic electrolytes to improve the performance of supercapacitors. Stephen has established new manufacturing in China, strategic partnerships in Japan and the Middle East, opened new offices in the United States (including at the NASA John F. Kennedy Space Center) and set-up joint ventures (JV) around the world. He previously ran a $1bn business unit at IBM. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and is a Freeman of the Guild of Entrepreneurs in the City of London. 


CFO & Co-founder 

Tim Walder

Tim Walder is an operations and finance professional with extensive commercial experience across a range of technology industries. In addition to being named as an inventor on patents and helping businesses raise £millions in finance, Tim has worked as managing director or finance director/CFO within innovative engineering, R&D and manufacturing businesses helping them to set up or to improve their productivity and performance. An entrepreneurial flair and an ability to focus on the fine detail whilst taking an overview, coupled with his extensive experience reviewing and redesigning business plans so that they are applicable to management and investors alike allows Tim to investigate what really makes individual businesses tick and to examine the realistic opportunities available to them.





COO & Co-founder 

Martin Bolton

Martin Bolton has run successful fundraising campaigns for early-stage technology  businesses including securing grant funding and seed investment. He has implemented programs of works to deliver against sustainability/ESG milestones and carbon offsetting targets. Coming from an Agricultural background Martin founded and exited a land based environmental services company before entering corporate sustainability.  He was previously Head of Sustainability at the London School of Economics, Circular Economy Advisor at SEEDA and a Director of Climate South East. Most recently, Martin developed and successfully brought to market, innovative technology capable of converting all types of organic waste into a new type of high value solid biofuel. He holds an M.Sc. in Natural Resource Management. 







Executive Assistant
Gayle Baker B.Sc.
Gayle is the Executive Assistant to the Board and responsible for administration and office management at Hydrogen Refinery. She previously worked as a legal secretary and PA to the Managing Partner of BrookStreet des Roches LLP. Gayle has a degree in Human Biology obtained from Oxford Brookes University.
